Thanks so much for all your support! love, Sadie x

The Beautiful People is partly a nod to someone I dated a long time ago who became famous for a while and partly about a friend of mine’s break up ... and that feeling of seeing someone you were once close to building a new life and how painful that can be.

I saw you with her yesterday
She’s beautiful all smiles and waves
You were both looking so fine
Shoulda stopped and said hello but I
    Couldn’t let this feeling grow
Envy likes to watch from the side
    And I can’t remember feeling
    This cut up about

What are you doing without me
In a life you made up
Now you’re one of the beautiful people
    I can’t touch
    I can’t touch

So I just watched you walking by
And I thought about the reasons why
    You let me fall behind
And I try to make myself believe
That you never meant that much to me but
Every single word is a lie
    And I cant remember wanting
    Anybody quite like

    I want you

What are you doing without me
In a life you made up
Now you’re one of the beautiful people
    I can’t touch
    I can’t touch
