Sad Disco are a Greek synth pop band formed in 2009 by Dim Bin And Theod Kopoul. Sad Disco take many of their cues from contemporaries like LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, and Future Islands, but with a distinctly pop sensibility that draws on classic AM radio pop singles from the 1970s and '80s, with elements of vintage disco and synth pop that appeal to song-based listeners as well as the club kidz.
Up until now, Sad Disco have been nominated in all of the most prestigious band contests of Greece and their songs had made it into several playlists, being hailed by critics and audience alike, as a new bright hope for the future.
"Hurt", the first single of their upcoming album, is the perfect melding of synth, percussion and vocals, combining for a superb pop song.
