"(S)winging it" Electro Swing Mix

Based in London, Sacha started djing in the late 90s. Sacha can play many genres and styles (From 1920s Jazz to Rhythm and Blues to the latest Remixes. Obscurities from around the World to well known Classics). Sacha adapts his sets for each new occasion / gig.
However, he is reputed for being one of the pioneers and specialists of Balkan Gypsy Music, Electro Swing and Global Beats djing in the UK.
He is the co-founder and resident DJ of “Stranger than Paradise”, the infamous 10 year running Gypsy Burlesque monthly event, held now at the Hootananny in Brixton, London.
Last couple of years have been very busy, apart from djing at events like: White Mink, Secret Cinema, Rumpus, Balkan Beats, White Mischief, Antitapas, Movimientos, Small World, Goulash Disko and the London Burlesque Festival, Sacha has also become resident DJ for the Cloud Factory events at Passing Clouds, for the parties at the French Institute and recently at the Blind Tiger Club in Brighton and at the Magic Garden Pub in Battersea.
Travelled a bit too, playing for the first time in Dublin (Ireland), Valencia, Madrid (Spain), Genova, Milan, Rome (Italy), Brussels (Belgium) and Split (Croatia).
Highlights of 2011/2012:
Djing at the Royal Festival Hall for their New Year’s Eve Party alongside Gabby Young and Other Animals, Eliza Carthy's Motown Ceilidh, The Destoyers plus many more.
Being the support DJ for the Balkan Brass Battle (The two best Gypsy Brass Bands out of the Balkans: Fanfare Ciocarlia vs Boban i Marko Markovic Orchestra) at the Brighton Festival. Organising the Balkan Brass Battle After Party which was sold out and a great success.
Djing at Kensington Palace Gardens for the Bastille Day Ball to celebrate French National Day, the 14th July, alongside well known Electro Swing Djs: Bart and Baker.
Djing in support of Fanfare Ciocarlia at the Scala and Mahala Rai Banda at the Jazz Cafe.

Djing for the BBC3 World Music Awards After Party, for the Cuban Music Awards and the Balkan Fever Festival.

Festivals played at: Glastonbury, Bestival, Electric Picnic, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness, Shambala, Glade, Isle of Wight, La Linea and Paradise Gardens.
