Running Violet plays 2012 but thinks 1964." In late 2010, guitarist Peter Balaz and bassist Ben Muller formed a band with drummer Brad Connor, and the trio recruited their first serious frontman. The chemistry wasn't quite right. After 2 weeks of rehearsing together, creative differences forced the group to disband. After a period of musical absence Peter called up Brad and they came to the agreement that they would start a new band together. After one rehearsal, it was obvious the two had the chemistry and the dedication to make a great band work. After a long search for their singer, a 19 year old Alessandro Marin replied to a posting on Craigslist. After a jaw dropping audition, it was undeniable that they had found the right voice for the band. The missing ingredient to the meal was the drive of four strings, and Ben again, answered the call. The birth of Running Violet (a band name Brad randomly arrived at during class) was earth shaking and something God should have prevented. With musical influences that run from, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to The Black Keys to Silversun Pickups, Running Violet pen their own brand of hip shaking, shredding rock tunes. Now they plan to infect your minds with what has lost its meaning and in need of rejuvenation: real, honest, foot tapping rock 'n' roll."
