    LYRICS:

    Look into the Lights

    VERSE 1
I see no, hear no, speak no
tv off its such a drone
    its right its its wrong
its off its on but you can never know
its just a way of life
no matter how hard you try
you'll find you cant fight his design

    CHORUS

never let your torch blow out
    DONT
    let your light dim now
    GO
    inside to come out
he wants you to shine now
count all the locks you've got to break
you'll learn from all of your mistakes
so stay strong when doubt attacks
look to the light never look back

    VERSE 2
they aim, they shoot, they miss
    avoid lines sticks and stones
tick tock tick the clock goes
    skeletons are only bone
    theres nothing there to hide
    look into the light
the winners are taking the prize

    CHORUS

    MIDDLE 8
    feels like you're breaking down
as sure as the world goes round
    energy knows no bounds
you will find all you found
    feels like you're breaking down
    the l.o.v.e is here now
don't look to the sky you'll find
    its deep inside

    CHORUS

    BREAKDOWN
    lights
    beams
    shine
    streams
    show truth
    speak to the world
    all beings
    use me
    and set love free

    "*****" - NME

"Kraftwerkian... alternative, indie electro-pop...we like some of his noise. He's Rowdy alright" - The Guardian

“The genre defying Rowdy Superstar presents an utterly compelling proposition. An attitude fresh from ‘77 but a pure naughties conceptualism set against a background of bass-charged electro” The Line Of Best Fit

Fearless experimental pop icon in the making (and the newest member of Atari Teenage Riot), Rowdy Superstar’s new Single “Breathe” and debut album “Battery” will be released on 12th November 2012. The album was produced by musical pioneer Matthew Herbert, and will be released on his label Accidental Records.

"With Battery I played with distortion and sounds and found myself at a point where I thought it was important to shine light and positive energy. To inspire people to think freely and love limitlessly and fight for what they believe in; to question how we communicate and the rapid speed of a digital generation and where it leads us." Rowdy Superstar

Described as "An outrageous slice of pop music with its intelligence left intact" (Clash Music), on first listen “Battery” might sound like a glossy yet quirky leftfield pop album destined for dancefloors and iPod party playlists. On closer inspection the underlying message is of hope and perseverance in the face of judgement and doubt, in a similar vein to writers such as Santigold, Outkast and Prince. The intense third single from the album, “Breathe”, tackles feelings of internal struggle, as Rowdy takes your hand in the darkest moment before the dawn - “why does everything, seem so dark, when outside, the sky is blue, the forecast is dry, open your eyes and breathe in.” It also features remixes by The Invisible, Raisa K (Micachu and The Shapes), and Hello Skinny (aka Tom Skinner).

Growing up in West London, Rowdy channelled his energy into creativity as he saw others around him lose sight of their dreams, and in some cases their lives. Starting a dance company and working as a successful stylist before making a splash with his early demos on Myspace, Rowdy pours his endless ideas into every part of the artistic process, from writing and production to art direction and choreography. Known for his eclectic DJ sets and notoriously exciting live show (complete with lighting system, Hype GirlsTM and loud speaker), you are likely to see Rowdy popping up in the most unexpected places (probably without warning) throughout the rest of the year
