Trio II was written for the occasion of my undergraduate graduation. I choose Horn, Cello, and Piano because of my love for the sound of these instruments and I felt that they could compliment each other well. The piece is in a tertiary form but progresses from F minor to Ab major. The journey of the music seeks to reflect the feelings of transition that the graduation class faced: the uncertainty of the future, a reminiscence of the college years, and a hope for the future.
