Being classmates was the perfect set up for having a friendship with one huge similarity: the passion for music. Particularly, it was the electronic scene which attracted the youths and hasn't got hold of them yet. Deejaying in domestic night clubs and letting the heart beat in the rhythm of the bass let them gotten tired of it quickly. This was the beginning of trying something new.

While producing some music they've got attracted to the genre Moombah. Its mixture of slow beats and fast elements created the perfect surrounding. Robs & Duke brought their own style to Moombahton, Moombahcore and Trap music. They combine melodic elements influenced by reggae with pure electronic music to create a complex system- maybe even to tell a story fully. This style pleased not only them but also the audience.
Collaborations like the one with Maya Von Doll, features on Diplos Label-blog Mad Decent and a victory in a Mad Decent remix contest are some of the Swabians achievements. Only their spirit and believe in their own abilities got the couple there.

In the meantime, Robs and Duke released two albums and one EP.

Aus Klassenkameraden wurden schnell gute Freunde mit einer riesigen Gemeinsamkeit: die Leidenschaft für Musik. Genau genommen war es die elektronische Szene, die beide im jugendlichen Alter magisch anzog und bis heute nicht wieder losgelassen hat. Aber in heimischen Clubs aufzulegen, und das Gefühl des Basses auf einen wirken zu lassen, war mit der Zeit dem Duo zur Gewohnheit geworden. So fingen sie an, sich an eigenen Tracks zu versuchen, um der Szene eigens neues Material zu liefern.

Während des produzierens wurden sie vom Moombah magisch angezogen. Das Zusammenwirken von langsamen Beats und schnellen Elementen des Genres bieten die perfekte Grundlage dafür. Robs & Duke brachten ihren eigenen Style in die verschiedenen Genres Moombahton, Moombahcore und Trap mit ein. Mit melodischen Elemente, vom Reggae inspiriert und mit elektronischer Musik gemischt, wurde eine neue komplexe Musik von ihnen erschaffen. Diese neuen Variationen fanden sehr schnell Anklang.

Collaborationen wie mit Maya Von Doll und mehrere Features auf Diplos Labelblog Mad Decent sowie einen gewonnen Remixkontest, des gleichnamigen Labels, zählen zu den kleinen Erfolgen, die die beiden Schwaben sich mit viel Ehrgeiz und vor allem mit Spaß am Produzieren erarbeitet haben.

Inzwischen haben Robs & Duke 2 Alben und 1 EP veröffentlicht.

Live legen die beiden das feinste von Moombahton über Moombahcore bis Trap mit einer ordentlichen Ladung komplexen Elektro auf.
