Since the popularity of Electronic Dance Music took hold of the African Music Scene, Rob Macson has been one of the recognised names associated with African House Music. Born in Zimbabwe he has enjoyed widespread acclaim, having toured in Africa as recently as December 2012 and played with some of the biggest names in House Music on the African music scene.
 
With a successful independent debut album “My Name” under his wing, and the release of a single “Inferno” under the US Label Detox Recordings LLC and “Energy” under the Dutch Label Housepital Records, Rob has worked along side some of Zimbabwe’s finest up and coming Recording Artists. In collaborations with Simba Tagz and producing and writing for the likes of Jusa Dementor, Carmine Davis, Jacqueline Nix and many other Zimbabwean Artists. Rob Macson is regarded favourably by the music world in Southern Africa.
 
Rob has played to thousands of people at the infamous Victoria Falls Festival in Zimbabwe, and opened along side DJ Hardwell, Ricardo Da Costa, Dean Fuel, Mark Stent, DJ Dizzy and The Digital Diva’s. He has also played in warm up for South African hit band Locnville.
 
Rob Macson has held down residencies at various nightclubs in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom, gaining invaluable experience as an entertainer, winning a position at Axiom the largest Nightclub of its kind in Harare, which he held for over two years. He has also played at Ministry of Sound and Lightbox as well as DJing at Fatamorgana, V Fest and ZimFest, all well established and recognised out door festivals in Zimbabwe.
 
Rob Macson has enjoyed success online as well, with a YouTube video having attracted over 16000 hits to date, has his Debut album available on iTunes, and maintains a regular presence on both Facebook and Twitter with several thousand fans.
 
Having won the regard of professional management in September 2012, the future looks bright for one of Zimbabwe’s finest House DJ’s. With a successful brand of Rob Macson events in Zimbabwe, and a contract with Excell Management UK Limited, Rob Macson is only set to continue to build on his success to date and grow his reputation world wide.
