Roberto Q. Ingram - Inspiration Network Munich/Electronic Soul Germany/Los Angeles

"For as long as I can remember, music has always been a part of my life.

Born in Ohio and growing up in LA California, Roberto Q. Ingram got his first break as a dancer for the famous TV show Soul Train. Soul Train is a long-running American music-related syndicated television program. Roberto toured with his dancing team performing for Japan for Asics Tiger cooperation, and at time Roberto also the lead choreographer.While working as a dancer on Soul Train in Hollywood in the late 70..s, Roberto saw Herbie Hancock perform live on the keyboards with his DJ, DSL, scratching to his hit "Rocket". he was completely blown away weeks later, he bought two turntables and a mixer.

With the inspiration acquired he began collecting hip hop, funk & soul, house records and perfecting his skills which paved the way to his djing at private parties and weddings. Roberto soon found himself holding residencies at the Hollywood Palace, Spice, The Mayan and a plethora of LA venues. This solidified Ingrams club stature, while spinning at large parties for established celebrities such as Kid Creole and The Coconuts, Janet Jackson, Arsenial Hall and Magic Johnson and Ice T, then on to popular underground events such as Tribal Gathering and Sketch Pad.1990 brought Ingram deeper into the house & techno scene, where he began refining his sound to funky deep and edgy.
Relocating in 1995 to Munich, Germany he has done a tremendous amount of event and club work across Europe such as the F-Scope 2006, 10 Years World League Event 2007, Celebration Of Life 2007, Valkana Beach Festival 1996-2002 and the Berlin Love Parade an important milestone in any DJs career. Ingram has also partaken in the annual Mayday festival, for which he was featured on the 1998 album of the same name.

Roberto Q. Ingram has managed to scratch and gnaw his way threw the worst of times to establishing his name as a DJ that is fully committed to supporting a sophisticated approach to advanced dance music. Coming up in the ranks Roberto Q. Ingram has played along side heavy hitters like Kevin Saunderson, Jay Denham, Anthony Shaker, Claude Young and Felix The Housecat. For Roberto Q. Ingram, artists like Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig (Detroit / Plante E) or King Britt (Philadelphia) and a few others are perfect examples of how music can be used as a positive tool, whilst still embracing and embodying black roots. Intelligent techno or electronica, Ingrams sets interprets music as emotional, charismatic and extravagant.

Music production is very important for a djs success. So Roberto is fully concentrated in the studio constructing deep emotional but powerful music. Music to listen to but most important to dance to as well. The spirit behind Roberto`s productions is a collaboration with real musicians that have respect for the electronic music culture. 2009 will be quite interesting.

Roberto Q. Ingram new project:the event and music promotion cooperative Inspiration Network The Network`s modus operandi has been to establish a platform where creative and forward thinking people can share ideas and collaborate on new projects. The primary format is of course electronic music but the concept is open all forms of modern art.
