Lisa Taylor "Did You Pray Today (Nirobi Re Edit)"

Here’s a new Re-Edit I did on a 90’s tip.

I’ve recently been trying to have the eternal “sort out” of my record collection and came across the 12” of this and it brought back so many good memories. This was a big end of night anthem for months and months and months at my regular Wednesday night club session in Brighton in the 90’s called ‘Shake Yer Wig!’. I DJ’ed there every Wednesday for nearly 7 years, usually doing a 4 hour set but also having monthly guests like James Lavelle, Patrick Forge, LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Ross Allen, Ashley Beedle, Eddie Piller, Kev Beadle, Norman Cook, Mr Scruff and Mark Rae amongst others.

I never ever really checked the Vocal Reprise or Instrumental on the 12” as the original was always getting the plays. The Vocal Reprise lets you hear her amazing voice in full effect and the Instrumental sections highlight the strings. I’ve put this together in traditional Re Edit style with only parts from the original versions and adding a breakdown and sections of the instrumental.
