"I wrote MIRROR OF MY SOUL in 2011 just as the New York State Marriage Equality Act was about to be passed. I performed it solo acoustic at several music festivals and nightclubs in 2011. Here now is the full band studio recording. It's a wedding song meant for any and all couples who are in love and who'd like to marry." - R. Urban

I saw myself in those deep, blue eyes
It scared me from the start
That look of knowing was all-too-wise
    it pierced my lonely heart

Apprehensive of the truth in just one glance
I was hesitant to take a chance
Could you be the one to calm my fears?
Could you be the one to share my tears?

    The Mirror of my Soul
The echo of my every dream
    The Mirror of my Soul
    The understanding in between...

I heard a voice when you spoke to me
    It sounded like my own
    Something like familiarity
was right there in the tone

Fears and worries, joys and laughter, hopes and dreams
Now resounding 'round a common theme
In the joining of two separate lives
In the image of you in my eyes

    The Mirror of my Soul
The echo of my every dream
    The Mirror of my Soul
    The understanding in between...
