About

Welcome to the offical Rob Crawshaw SoundCloud!

Rob has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, having been made resident with Killertrax as a resident after winning their DJ competition in August 2009.

In December 2009, he went on to win the Insomniacz & Tidy christmas DJ competition, securing him a slot at the massive christmas party at Stinkies in Leeds. Playing frequently for Killertrax means he has developed a big following in the north and a reputation for his chunky, funky, house inspired style sets. Drawing influences from funk, soul, disco, tech, garage and those classic house sounds, Rob Crawshaw's flavour of hard dance music is hard to define. It's party music for everyone designed with one thing in mind - to make you wiggle! His style has sparked the interest of various clubbers from outside of the hard scene to delve a little deeper into this somewhat misunderstood underground genre.

2010 was a busy year for Rob, playing along side huge names such as; Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, Defective Audio, James Nardi, Karim and more. He has also made his mark on the London scene, having had multiple bookings with the well established and respected brand, Twist.

2010 has also been big for productions, with massive releases on; Toolbox, Toolbox Choons, Fireball, Combat and NuSkool Recordings - Morning Coffee, Cool Cat and Semi-Quaver Sandwich to name a few. With all the mentioned releases being featured (and charted) on the TrackItDown.netand making multiple appearances on Cally Gage's weekly article (DontStayIn.com - Cally's Thursday Thumpers), there seems to be no stopping the Rob Crawshaw sound.

Rob moved into 2011 and 2012 short listed in the top 5 best remixes of the Tidy Boys & BK's massive anthem 'All Alone'. His unique style for remixing didn't go unnoticed and he was further approached by Rodi Style's label Kung Fu Wax along with the newly established DWYC Recordings set up by veterans Lox & Leigh Green. 'The Spice Boys' were established with Rob playing a part alongside Digital Mafia & Konekt to deliver 2 massive up-front anthems signed to Fireball Recordings & Storm Digital. Along with this Rob secured further signings to Toolbox Recordings through his solo, original material.

In 2013 Rob made his debut on Stereodays Recordings with 'Tribute', paying homage to the late Loleatta Holloway.

After a short hiatus from the scene, Rob returns refreshed and re-inspired ready to take on the HDM scene in 2014.
