Rob Cifre aka DJ Bamboo is the founder of DJs Evolved, Agency Sounds Booking Agency and promotional company Swing Kids, however, he is better known for his abilities as DJ and producer. Rob's authentic New York tech house sound infused with soulful undertones is one that began at the height of the New York rave scene in the nineties. During this time, Rob Bamboo Cifre established his name playing alongside some of the most respected names in the scene to include, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Frankie Bones and Donald Glaude to name only a few...

While most high school freshman were discovering adolescence, Rob discovered his life's work. By 15 Rob landed his first gig further igniting his passion for music. "I'm a control freak, there's nothing better than seeing people moving to your music. I love connecting eye to eye with someone in the crowd that just feels it!" explains Rob when asked about his obvious dedication for DJing, he goes on to say "I know I'm releasing dopamine in the brain when I'm behind the decks, I'm that person's drug at the moment, they are high on me and I on them. It's addictive and it keeps us both coming back for more. Music is a religion." With the rave scene blossoming in early 90's New York and seeing the need for events in Connecticut, 15 year old Rob Bamboo Cifre created his own promotional company, Swing Kids. Swing Kids helped shape the Connecticut rave scene and soon expanded having regular events at some of the hottest locations in New York City such as the legendary Limelight and the ultra exclusive Tunnel as well as hosting events from Maine to Maryland. It was no surprise that the Doogie Houser of the music scene was spinning all over the United States! Not many artists have the opportunity to witness musical history but due in part to determination and obvious talent, Rob Bamboo Cifre not only witnessed but was part of the creation of underground music history. Rob quickly joined one of NYC's hottest DJ crews at the time, Scotto's D.R.O.P. Entertainment, spinning at numerous club and rave hotspots in the Northeast. It was Rob Bamboo Cifre's raw talent beyond his years that made partygoers, promoters and his peers stop and take notice of the kid who was rocking the dance floor. Soon after, he was putting together some of Connecticut's most successful events in underground music history further etching his name into the scene.

Rob has shared the decks with a long list of top influential DJs that include: Frankie Bones, Super DJ Dmitri, Derrick Carter, Dante, Mark Farina, Josh Wink, Dave Dresden, David Hollands and Donald Glaude just to name a few. He has played at some of the world's most famous clubs such as the Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel, Shelter, Club USA/World, Club Vinyl, just to name a few. Rob Bamboo Cifre has held residencies in both Connecticut and New York. His unique blend of funky techy house has earned him a large, loyal fan base. Constantly striving to push the scene forward as well as leverage his many years of experience gained from in front and behind the scenes Rob started Agency Sounds in 2009. In Agency Sounds infancy its roster boasts some of the dopest names in EDM all due to Rob Bamboo Cifre's integrity and the respect he has earned for his musical abilities.

Rob's commitment to authentic music is unwavering so much so he has been consistently producing original tracks. His sleek, sexy, housey yet bassy track "Oh Baby" gained the attention of a French label and is being released on God of House in 2011. Rob Cifre's passion and attentiveness to excellence is apparent in his numerous endeavors resonates through his early work with the creation of Swing Kids and currently in the success of Agency Sounds. Naturally, this attentiveness crosses over into his music, being felt from the beginning of his exhilarating DJ sets straight through to the end. Rob Bamboo Cifre has the talent, ability, and experience to tear the roof off of any event with his pulsating sounds and meticulous mixing. Now with his first international release and the success of Agency Sounds Rob Bamboo Cifre is taking it all in doing what he loves.
