After having been picked up to run public relations at Lotus Soundbar Waikiki in Honolulu, he says he was "bitten" after handling many headliners prior, during and, post club performance. Rob's first times mixing were at friend's homes who happened to have gear. On one occasion, he asks a friend to show him how to mix, First friend says: "The decks are over there, the power switch is on the backside. Have at it....... "Another friend: the price to teach Rob: "I'll teach you: for your soul...... " Tough crowd. After a year, Rob Chiong, inspired, to say the least, from a visit to WMC, befriends legendary artist Johnny Fiasco - from this point, more of the fire is lit.
