Hello!
I started writing my music around a year and a half ago (January 2009) just purely based on the passion I have for music and wanting to have a stab at it myself.
I began with the guitar when I was around 19 or so and never realy poured much effort into it until around 3/4 years ago. It was around this time I took the "plunge" and started gathering my resources to start making music.
So I got myself a bass guitar, drums, keyboard and all equipment I need to start (mics, audio interface etc) and it took me awhile to get a sense of direction, trying to find how I wanted to breathe life into my ideas. The obvious hurdle being the lack of musical training and just trail & error as well as having an ear for music!
It took a while to learn the nuances of everything involving producing what I wanted to convey, mixing and pretty much the science behind the recording process. Im still not completly there but Im learning as I go along! All tracks I have recorded have not yet been mastered and are all currently just in demo form. Over time I have slowly got a better understanding out of how to get the best sound I can with what I have, but im still a rookie!
The music Ive been aiming to make has been made with the intention of being Progressive/Avantgarde relying heavily on influences coming from sub genres of metal (black,thrash,melo-death etc) as well as entirely separate genres like jazz,blues,ambient,industrial,funk etc. Its at times veering on the edge of being avantgarde.Sort of with the intentions of not pigeonholing myself and trying to give each track its own individual sound or identity even.
Im still currently working it as a one man project, hopefully it appeals to someone out there! Hope you enjoy whoever you may be!
