I'm 35 and my passions include DJing and producing house music. I've been DJing for 12 years and producing for about 2. I've gradually mellowed out & found my niche in deep house - my heroes are people like Salt City Orchestra, Jimpster, The Timewriter, Manuel Tur, Franck Roger, DJ Bern, Fresh & Low, The Revenge, Lawnchair Generals, Spirit Catcher, Charles Webster, Troydon, Kinky Movement, Fred Everything, Genius of Time, Replika, Loco Dice, Roberto Rodriguez - basically anyone who can (or could) knock out a half decent tune or remix.
I've played all over, from the WMC in Miami, to Amsterdam, Ibiza, Seattle and, closer to home, Manchester, Newcastle, Hull, Bristol... and some places I'd rather forget!
I've won a few DJ magazine competitions such as the ones featured in IDJ Mag and DJ Mag, but to be fair I always wanted to push things forward by making my own tracks. I'm a vinyl purist & would love to have my own vinyl only label, but currently I am concentrating on trying to write some nice tunes.
