About
Richard Reynolds, namely Richard Molnar, is a 22-years old DJ and producer who belongs to the most talented producers and DJ’s in the Czech Republic and whose tracks are supported by many famous foreign DJs. Originally he comes from Slovakia – the east-Slovakian city named Kosice. Since 2001 he moved to Prague where he lives until today.
Production:
He was interested in music since early childhood, but his first experiments with producing music date to the year 2006, to his age of 16. Between the years 2006-2009 he was focusing on Electro house under the pseudonym “DJ Ritchie”, which he changed to the present-day’s Richard Reynolds. Between those years he produced many electro house tracks which were successful mainly on youtube.com. Just to point out one – his remix of the song ‘Inna – Hot’, which had almost half-million views. In 2009 he slowly started coquetting with progressive house which he plays and produces until today. Since then, his remixes and tracks were to be heard all around the globe (California, Israel, England etc...), but officially he started publishing his tracks on Beatport.com in 2011. His second release EP ‘Leaving’ has immediately got into the Beatport Top 100. The same with Dutch e-shop Dance-Tune – Leaving remained among the top 100 tracks for five weeks. Leaving has also got into Seejay Radio’s music chart where it remained for a month on the top of the chart. This release was also supported by such famous DJs as Paul Van Dyk, Eric Morillo, Jerry Ropero, Kid Massive, Giuseppe Ottaviani and many more.
Currently he has signed contracts on more tracks waiting to be released in 2012, just to mention a few: ‘Let’s Fuck’ [Get Down Recordings] (Kid Massive Label) or ‘Andromeda’ [Caballero Recordings] – supporting the famous producers, such as Chris Kaeser, Muzzaik, Kid Massive, Carl Tricks, Prok & Fitch and many more. In the year 2012 he is working on many other projects you can look forward to.
DJing:
He started playing much later than composing music – in 2009. In 2010 he first plucked up courage to start playing in public. Thank to his talent and musical ear, he was able to learn the mixing techniques very quickly, so he was invited to play in the most famous Prague’s clubs, such as Sasazu, Mecca Prague, Duplex etc. He also played in various Czech and Slovak cities. In 2011 he participated in a DJ contest with another 200 people. He won this contest and was given an opportunity to play at the main stage of one of the biggest Czech open-air festivals – ‘Machac’, where he was standing on the same stage as the world famous DJs like Sebastian Ingrosso or Alesso. His name started to be quite respectable in the Czech republic, so he was given opportunities to play at another bigger parties, for example the second stage of Trancefusion, second stage of the New Years Eve 2012 in the Prague’s Exhibition Hall, Marlboro stage at the Magnetic Festival. In April 2012 he was offered a tour around England (London, Birmingham).
The style he plays and likes the most is progressive house mixed with a little bit of electro. His success lies within the fakt, that he’s preparing his own bootlegs, edits, intros for each party extra, and also his lively communication with the audience. He is able to play the faster and harder music in such way, that even the less ‘club-oriented’ audience enjoys it – mainly thanks to his own bootlegs and other reworks, which you can’t hear from anyone else – but just him.
