Rich's dub tribe tech! Nice bassline man.... when that open hat drops in with grainy chord stab it all makes sense :) Sample works well too...adds the 3rd dimension!

nice, i reckon i`m being 'anti-cool' or very geeky with that sample from mr Lee.......i dunno, surely its unexpected as the track rolls along..I like to take a contrary stance! Glad you dig it man

Gorgeous 'bit of fun' man, this is expertly spaced out, the elements floating on top of that awesome bounce are so clearly separate it's like listening to light rain in a greenhouse. I dig this deeply sir...

nice work, really clean mix. I dig the bass line but for me it could be a little more in the forefront, but that,s just my opinion. cheers brother, look forward to the release

    2. Rich Jones on November 10, 2009 06:16

@Negredo: cheers for the idea man, thats what i like to hear! Im defintely considering redoing the mix - i just find that sometimes i lose small little artifacts in the mix, that resulted purely from certain parts merging at certain volumes.....but we`ll see. Glad youre diggin tho mate :)

    3. Negredo on November 10, 2009 06:32

@Rich Jones: I hear you. As soon as you change one element the whole thing is affected. It never sounds quite right on SC anyway, at least I notice that for my tracks. The internet streaming quality loses some of the studio sound fo sho. Have fun tinkering!

i will have to listen to this dozens more times to be able to comment, as that first listen just had me gone. feeling light as air and tumbling backwards into bliss. utterly, and i've been moved to say this about your pieces before, but utterly the kind of warm blanket of groove and tones that sees my soul at ease and my mind clear. i will be returning to this often...

    2. Rich Jones on November 10, 2009 06:18

    3. Rich Jones on November 17, 2009 02:17

@eclip5e: hmmmm, maybe one of the tracks in the mix has it in......I can`t say i`ve noticed it though. I checked the vid, and I know that breakbeat from some other older tracks. It may just be an artifact of those particular tracks being mixed, and the delays over the mix...there`s percussion from the Alex Niggeman remix of '2012', 'Frontstab'loop by JPLS/Ambivalent, JPLS`s remix of ambivalent 'Breathe' looping, and the Minilogue track in the mix, plus various send effects and tempo synced delays. So it could just be an artifact of all that percussive mashing.....but who knows *__*

    2. Rich Jones on November 14, 2009 01:50

@eclip5e: ^__^ I think this is the best section of the mix - all the magic happens around this point for a while, after a bit of a dull 20 min section that preceeded it, in my view

@eclip5e: can`t beat vangelis in moody dystopian soundscape mode! I remember a set by Jeff Mills where he dropped this, right in the middle of his frenetic set, as a 'breather' moment. It was friggin awesome.

Bit of fun this one, your views would be very interesting - be honest! There`s a sample in there that's not my usual territory, but i thought apt to the watery, blustery theme of the track - which is accidental, just the effect i got from the white noise washes. I started this back in 07, so its been a long time coming. Deep, afterhours minimal house thing......
