I think the marriage of big room techno beats and ambient soundscapes is not used enough. Has this got a release lined up dude? Would love to get a copy ^___^
- Somfay x Flourish on November 26, 2009 22:27
@Rich Jones: Cheers :] It is coming out in winter 2010 sometime on a new label out of Montreal called Strange Town. Don't know exactly when. It will have a couple remixes though ;]
-
@Somfay x Flourish:Strange Town?that sounds oddly very attractive, I live in montreal, so very curious to know a little more gosssip... :) you know who is running it?

Then i just listen to your awesome dreams edit. And ive been meaning to wrangle a shakatak jazz funker into a house cut for ages. That piano sounds like shakatak. Whatever, this track is HOT!

aurations
Rich Jones = big techno geek. He`s from England, he loves music, and wanted to 'do music' from the age of 7, when he got his first yamaha keyboard (with midi and everything!) inspired by the new romantic groups of the era. Been producing (properly) since late 2002. He`s currently residing near his birthplace in Portsmouth, England, and has releases out and forthcoming on Plug, Evasive, T-Bahn, Backwater Community, Flat Belly, Cubism, Telepathy, Punch-Funk and CSM.........and has had support for his tunes from John Selway, Richie Hawtin, Mark Broom, Paco Osuna, Derrick May, Josh Wink, Anthony Pappa, Mistress Barbara, Rob Pearson, Tony Thomas, Dave Robertson (aka Reset Robot) and many others. He hopes to continue to contribute to helping people have a good time, and getting lost in the music. And he really doesnt understand (by the way) people that have a passing, vague interest in this most advanced and ethereal of artforms. Forward thinking 'techno' and house music is, he believes, the neo-tribal movement that could unite people of disparate religions and cultures, and help contribute to societies evolving out of our present global situation, that rampant capitalism and ignorance, bred from a dumbed down, media led, overly matirealistic culture, has brought about. He also hopes to fry a pie one day. And he just loves a good, long dance! `till the sun rises...
great work man!
