I've not slept right in days

I've slipped back into old ways

I thought i'd grown

I thought I'd changed

It's been donkeys years

since ive seen you last

I thought you'd run away

oh!, you did and you're back

what's this i hear you dont play the piano anymore

I used to love to sit and listen to your sadness

but you denied that you ever felt any pain

but i always heard it in the melodies

Left, right I looked both ways

I walked into the foray

I slipped up once or twice

and stayed down for a while

How was leaving for you

did you do what you wanted to do

I know things changed for me too

I hardly recognised you

I've been living in the house that i grew up in

reading books with characters that i connect with

I'm thinking of burning the whole place to the ground

of course things may be different now i know your back

heres my number dont be afraid to call me any time

yes, i still live in the house that i grew up in

but i'm planning on leaving soon, i think

(Anyone of these days now some things going to, happen

but year upon year as the darkness nears i fear that i think it wont.)

Crash landed back on earth with a bang

left dumbstruck without a paddle and without a plan

Make do and mend with what you have if you can

Loose ends left undone left hanging in strands

( anyone of these days now...... etc0
