Nicolas was born in Tandil, Argentina, a few hundred kilometers south of Buenos Aires, the tango capital of the world. His parents introduced him to the wonders of tango music and Argentine folkloric music at an early age. This musical upbringing provided a strong foundation for Nicolas’ unique style and voice.
In August 2012, Nicolas moved to Los Angeles to live his dream of scoring television shows, films, video games, and other multimedia. His first residence was at the Tilden House, founded by Christopher Young, where he was able to analyze various film scores while living in a collaborative, creative, and engaging environment. He continues to hone his film scoring chops through various workshops, such as Ron Jones’ Ravel Study Group and the INFOrums at the Academy of Scoring Arts. Most recently, Nicolas was selected by the Society of Composers and Lyricists to participate in their esteemed Mentorship Program.
