Reed Richards has been Djing since 2006, when a slightly-broken-but-free mixer was bequeathed to them...and sealed their fate. They saved up money from a high school job, purchased two Technics turntables, and began what would be a record collection to heal the world.
From 2006-2010, Reed Richards attended Macaleter College, in St. Paul, Minnesota. They immediately joined the student DJ Club and began an involvement that spanned their tenure at Macalester, eventually leading to the president's seat from 2008-2010. There they coordinated and played numerous student dance parties, established an ongoing collaboration between the DJ Club and Macalester's campus radio - WMCN - and instructed dozens of peers on DJing history, technique, and philosophy.
During college - and beyond - Reed Richards also performed at political and cultural events, fundraisers, dance parties, and collaborated in performance art work.
In 2011, Reed Richards decided to move back to Champaign-Urbana, where it all began....
They immediately joined a supergroup - The Foundation - fighting against the evils of music-less parties, computer-speaker parties, and unpaid DJing gigs. The group is currently on hiatus, until the fall semester, at which time it will resume its patrol.
Solo, Reed Richards is currently taking on the formidable beasts that are Ableton and Logic....
