Need a gift for a gifted musician?
Red Brick House were formed in 2007 in the wake of exes, emigration and engineering. They are a band born of the playlist generation. Combining Indie Rock, Alt Pop, Blues, Noise and even Country. Their setlists are a pastiche of individual influences with an ethos that there are only two types of music: good and bad.
Hot Press's Jackie Hayden described Red Brick House as 'a band that blends quality with some unapologetic commercialism' and it hit the nail on the head. This is a group not afraid to be catchy, or to write a tune that will make you stomp headily around a barroom floor with one hand waving free.
The group are currently wrapping up their debut EP, which showcases their riff driven sound. They spent the summer strutting around stages at the acclaimed Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon, and Sea Sessions festival in Bundoran. They have also supported indie heavyweights Codes and Túcan.
Messrs. Patrick, Les, Danny and Peter have spent most of their lives in each-other's company, sharing the worst of time and the best of influences (BRMC, The Raconteurs, Bob Dylan). The group have played bars, backs of trucks, on top of pallets and even a castle along the way.
