This is the original loop, solely written entirely by myself back in October 2007.

    Sequence of events:

    1. I wrote this loop back in October 2007, entirely by myself, posting it on myspace.
    2. Zomby, with whom I was communicating, hears the loop and offers to collaborate to finish it. I agree and send him the original Reason song file + Rex file of the vocals.
    3. Zomby posts the loop on his myspace without crediting me, I complain, he takes it down.
    4. In the next months Zomby suggests where the track might get released. I continue to remind him that it's a collaboration.
    5. Without my knowledge, a slightly revised version is aired by Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1, you can hear Zomby's revised drum variation from 1:06 -- 1:36. This is the only significant change he's made to the track. The rest is looping, and some slight editing of the vocal cuts.
    6. The track gets released on 4AD in May 2011, I notice in August 2011. I complain first to Zomby with no effect, then to 4AD, to whom I send this loop plus an e-mail sent from me to Zomby with the original Reason song file from October 2007. 4AD accept my evidence and change credits to include my name.

Zomby has been vague in interviews when asked about the vocal sample. The singer is Natalia Ladygina (hence the name of the track), a Russian friend of mine. She is singing a cover of Irina Dubcova's song 'O nem'. I have other samples of her, so you can expect to hear more of her in the future.

Thanks to all those who have supported me in this dispute, and all those who were just curious and asked.

you guys do realize that Zomby has stolen before right? His album 'where were u in 92' was a ripoff of a Bongra side project called glowstyx, if you don't believe me google it

@Piratio: I agree that de-jure the story described here, and even 4AD's belated credit does not 100% prove what Reark is saying. But, personally, I find happy lil cry for help (with pantherliwong) by reark and we broke up after 223,014 characters together by reark sounding quite close to Natalia's loop. I don't really understand all those dubstepforum regulars shouting that this song had all "Zomby's trademark gated synths and riddim patterns"... I always thought - how different this track is comparing to Zomby's other sound.

@Booddha: He's telling the truth about most of it - 4AD have already changed the credits. Look for yourself. Screenshots could be fakes as easily as a project file - how could you tell if he had faked it? You'd need the project file whole really to be able to listen, mute parts, etc. That tune was from 2007 - who knows how he sampled it then? - now, it seems he uses synths so you'd expect a totally different sound "quality" - albeit, maybe the tunes aren't sooo good - but it's not a hard tune to make - it's the vocal that makes it special imho. I do think it's ironic though how REARK's oldest soundcloud tunes do sound a little bit like a bad attempt at Zomby :)

@Crystal Catcha: the producers name is zomby mate, not zomboy. zomboy is a different producer

@Budeaux: I am not saying it's not the truth, I am just concerned everyone is having a opinion too fast. Natalia's Song does sound really Zomby-ish and not really Reark-ish (in my opinion when I listened to his other tracks). Also, 3 months and then he noticed? I think you would be really up to date to Zomby's work if he had that kind of contact with you. I really don't know what to think about this

@Booddha & everybody else doubting him: 4AD (the record label it was released on) have credited Reark, as he says if you just took a second to jump off Zomby's dick and read the description.

anyway you could post a picture of the original created date of the reason file and maybe a goose at the project folder will all dates? if your gonna show the guy up do it properly

@b0bbyewing: It's not about who's "version" is "better". 1 - there would be no "zomboy version" if this hadn't been made in the first place. 2 - a piece of music being "better" is ridiculous because music is all about individual taste and opinion, for instance you may prefer zomboys edit of this but others may prefer the original. The fact of the matter is if zomboy has stolen this loop and not given any credit to anyone who originally created it then he deserves to be taken to court over it.. no idea wether he did steal it but the evidence seems to be there. Reark, good luck!

"Hmmm... apparently he stole the song, as in... he mixed it, and even someone else is singing the vocals, but the original song belongs to the Russian singer, and she's pissed off because he recorded the song in his album and renamed it..."
