Uniquely for Portico Quartet, the track Steepless features a vocal collaboration with the East London based Swedish singer, Cornelia. The band met Cornelia through their friend Jamie Woon, and were drawn to her unique voice and songs. Steepless, which started as a more conventional song, was created live in the studio by the band, and Cornelia and the band together created a powerful new dialogue that provides one of the album’s many stand out moments.
