Rocco Di Pietro is a composer who studied with Lukas Foss and Bruno Maderna in Buffalo,Darmstadt and Tanglewood.
This archive of works on SoundCloud covers older work of the seventies,eighties and nineties with more recent exceptions of unfinished, memorial work,or pieces not recorded elsewhere.I have also posted some work that takes us up to some recent composition..This project is a' recapitulation' in order to see where I am headed and what must be done next. To paraphrase Castaneda:"Recapitulation is a mnemomic device propelling memory into an inconceivable journey.... towards a redeployment of energy...to the evolution of the dark sea of awareness".
