Hi everyone, My name is Karl D, and I've been an independent electronic musician for about 8 years now. Last year, I released my first full-length commercial album "Existential Funk", and it has been one of the most important events in my life. My website, randombeats.com is an experimental medium in electronic music.
I'm very passionate about all types of electronic music - so much that I want to continue to produce as much diverse music as possible without having to pigeonhole myself into certain genres or having to conform to any kind of business model. My website is a way for me to keep producing and release lots of material for free. There also is lots of older, previously unreleased material included on randombeats.com.
Please have a listen to what I have here, and if you like what you hear I invite you to come to my website where you can get much more for free. If you like what you hear, please consider supporting my efforts by purchasing the album or at least a track or two from "Existential Funk"- randombeats.com/existentialfunk
Thanks for listening!
@DZD2: Thanks - it's a chopped up reverse crash cymbal with a pitch effect. I wanted it to have a "twisting, whirlwind" effect.
Perfect. I love it.
@onemankrass: Agreed, we need a download!
This has become my new favorite Trip-hop mixtape. Thanks for the download. What's the intro? Film sample?
This is great stuff! Are we going to see a download of this?
My, this is tasty!
@deepbass: Almost forgot - where can I download this? Itunes/Amazon/Free? Anywhere? I gotta have this on my hard disk.
Wow, I turned this on 2:38 minutes ago and I'm finding I'm really into it. This is pretty sick. Tense indeed!
Like Photek? This reminds me quite a bit of a track on Modus Operandi. Can't remember exactly which one.
Hardcore!!!
This first track kills. What's it called?
Oh, this is even better than Let Down. Please tell me you're planning a full cover album of OK Computer soon. I'd love to hear more Radiohead tracks from you. I didn't even get into Radiohead until after having listened to Thom Yorke's solo album. OKC is my favorite album now...may I make a request...."Exit Music"?
Brilliant stuff. This cover does wonders for the song. I *almost* like it better than the original. :) I'm totally downloading this.
I love the hollow sound of the piano here.
@raytrace: LOL, maybe you're right. I wouldn't want to be labeled "ironic". Seems anything that sounds like rave made after 2000 has to be called "nu-rave", because it's "nu".
@raytrace: Thanks for the comments! I'm glad you like this one. I felt unsure about it initially because it was kind of experimental. Just getting into dubstep production.
Brilliant! My head's been nodding since the start, but it really takes off here.
Great stuff! The tempo is just right. Very chilling vibe.
The bass - it's too sick!!!!!
Here it comes!!!!!
