It's a beauty!
-
@Diex: ps: thanx for the download
- Random Toxy on November 22, 2009 16:06
@Diex: Thanks again. This one is brand new - made this week. I wanted to make something 'beautiful'. The pads took ages although they seem simple and the rhodes were quick although they seem complex (more 'systems' music play).

sounds almost like a morning ragha. great. love what you've done with the filtering (now why didn't I come up with that... ]o-0[
- Random Toxy on November 22, 2009 16:01
@Diex: I'm glad you like it. I made this one a while back. Sometimes 'simple' is all you need.
-
@Random Toxy: This must be the umpteenth-time I'm playing this one. Bzzzzzz. Love It!

O yeah... I love it. Like the sudden gltches here and there. Don't wanna waste too many words. Just listen. Good stuff!
-
@Diex: now I know what it reminds me of... (early Michael Brook) Still loving it .
- Random Toxy on November 18, 2009 16:32
@Diex: Haven't heard of Michael Brook. I'll see if I can track some of his stuff down. My main influence for this kind of music is Brian Eno.

This is really pretty nice - there's enough going on that you don't get too bored. I could see some kind of lead texture over it also. Something high-pitched, staccato, static-y.
- Random Toxy on November 20, 2009 19:30
@Hey Exit: I know what you mean. I've been holding off letting anyone hear it - thinking that it isn't finished - but it was in danger getting forgotten. I may well add to it in the future.
-
@Random Toxy: Totally. Getting stuff off the shelf is really important - nothing is ever done.

good tune , with some dubbed human voices in it ( tribes of so ) it would sound more "entropic" i think . keep up the vibs XiT
- Random Toxy on November 16, 2009 18:18
@DjXiT: Fair comment thanx. 'entropic' is a reference to the random 'systems music' elements in this one.

Is that a Synthi A!?
- Random Toxy on November 18, 2009 16:38
@Diex: Well this track is done in Reason 2.5 so its actually 2 synths layered together - one for the bite the other for the bass. The melody came from nowhere - a five minute flash of inspiration. I'm still very pleased with it. I wish all lead lines came so easily.
