Well, its 2012, and Rafa Pistola writes and plays all of these tunes…sings em’, all….and adds a few other instruments and things here and there sometimes, feel free… maybe some thoughts and voices floating in space, some beloved humans too. Hello kind friends.
“I like, you know, music from different gutty old places, dirty, and also glossy and poppy sometimes too, just an honest, precious, you know, melody and that phat old beat a lot of times too, or just space filling it all up too, 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, English, Nahuat, Spanish, green or yellow, fast and loud, slow and cool…doing, you know, different sounds and music, from all these different spirits around, its their tunes…these ghosts, you’ll hear that fruit juice…”
Rafa Pistola is now actively living in the desert, in the summer, and looking out the widow just thinking about people, and human history, and rent,…writing, playing music and finally distributing, (even if only demo rough version) copies of his acoustic recordings which have been roughly compiled throughout the 15 years that he has been happy, bummed, angry, calm, aware, dumb, moving, staying,…active creating, and performing music. Sound cloud, what a good thing.
"I've found that not really driving cars keeps me out of trouble. Chaos order, just avoid the chaos and that also skips their order a lot of the times, you know?...I’m just thankful and happy to be alive, in this world, and the sound or songs or whatever, that also comes from all around, yeah, from the ghost, you know. And we just have to repeat these things from way long ago, and that trip is a blessing so…but, I’m just eager to see what happens with it today, then maybe tomorrow…” (Rafa Pistola, 2012)
Listen when you can, in comfort or even in a rush for a bit…maybe you’ll hear bit of what it feels like to be over here, or what it might sound like…Thank you either way; it’s a pleasure for me. Saludos!!!
