Ron was the innovator of the backward spin. He is known for standing the records off the table using a homemade adapter, inserting the needle upside down and using a weight to make it touch the elevated record. then he would spin it and it played backwards perfectly. truly genius!!

Yeah I was in Chi-Town when Ronnie was alive, thats showing my age, but no worries. I went to the music box on many occasions. What separated him and the music box was not only the tunes, it was the tweeters in the ceiling and the huge ass bass speakers in the back and the excellent fruit they served to keep people moving natural sugars baby natural sugars baby.
