I Fight Dragons - Money (Punky Fresh Remix) 2010

Chicago DJ’s and electronic music production duo Punky Fresh have remixed “Money” by Photo Finish/Atlantic Records artist I Fight Dragons (currently on “Too Fast for Love Tour” with 3OH!3 and Cobra Starship).

“Money” is the first remix from Punky Fresh since their take on Passion Pit’s “The Reeling” which won them the grand prize at Dell Lounge: Lollapalooza Last Band Standing Remix competition in 2009.

Since playing Lollapalooza 2009, Punky Fresh has spent most of their time in the studio and currently they're narrowing down thirty original songs for their debut album. The duo is also planning on working on remixes for Vagrant artist Far, Chicago locals Gemini Club, Moneypenny, Ocean Orbit, and Universe.

Few early tracks have been posted online and Corey Casciato of Denver Westword praised, “They trade in genre-busting, expectation-defying juxtapositions of sound and style that fit the name Punky Fresh. Go hear them with open ears.”

With their busy recording schedule, Punky Fresh carefully books DJ sets when they can. The duo have opened up for Dim Mak artist MSTRKRFT at a sold out show at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI, headlining a crowd of 900+ at the world famous Beta Nightclub in Denver, CO, and most recently supporting iheartcomix artist Designer Drugs at a sold out show at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL. Time Out Chicago commented on Punky Fresh as “the ideal party rockers”.

Punky Fresh will be headlining a rare live set at Elbo Room in Chicago, IL on Friday, April 2, 2010. You can also catch them playing a DJ set at the brand new Beauty Bar in Chicago on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
