The Psiplex Blog started as a way to chart the author's battle with head and neck cancer. As a graphic artist, electronic musician and art lover, the author discusses the creative impulse, graphic design and life issues. Sharing music tracks with SoundCloud is a great way to let others check out the latest spasm of creativity and life energy. New favorite quote of late is from Zenrin:
"For many years, a bird trapped in a cage, Today, flying along with the clouds.
One Love
Beautiful build! Everything in the right proportion to ramp up the energy
A very moving piece- will be nice to check out your vocal explorations for this track! Go freqlab!
Really like this break
I think some vocals would be nice - lots of 'space' for vocal interpretation and style in this track
Big-wide sound!
Applause!
Sounds fresh and familiar too - something you can wrap the ears around and have the posterior take over movin' to the movin'
Bass! Nice
This riff is like you should be paid by Mercedes for a TV spot or movie trailer - very commercial and hot
I like how you place the drums in the mix and have them drive the track but not overpower it
A track that will grow on you for sheer electro energy alone!
Attitude comes over in this jam- very cool - glad you shared it!
Transported into a whole new direction-strong
This is classical rip ass rave neck-wrecker!
Damn! That synth riff is off the chainz! That buzzy monster is a sound I've been after for a while- couldn't touch yours though-Nice!
That chopped sax sample is wicked - perfect bit of magic you put on it!
Nice use of chopped samples and rhythmic elements- enjoyed!
Nice Moog-ey synth tone over dubby
Nice chord changes and vibe
Really clean and sweet track that draws you in with a steady groove and tasteful use of synth parts-really nice for rounding out my Sunday. Thanks for sharing!
Like the shimmering ambience built into the track and solid groove- can't say enough about that moog sound-just a bunch of flavor in there!
Ah-some Moog love goin' on here
Nice and wide in my speakers - got the Sunday groove going and gttin' fizzy wid it!
Real life music. This track has a quality of integrating with what is going on in life mixing seemlessly with energy. Really nice groove that just lifts and shape shifts.
Listening here in Atlanta on a beautiful pre-spring day-it is delightful. Thanking you for alerting me of the availability! One Love
Loving that metallic percussion/snare
Very nice and mellow
damn, that snare is sweet here
A holiday treat- Thank you for alerting me to listen - sweet track and totally enjoyable!
See what I mean? Sweet electric guitar tone in there- lays in there and adds interest and movement all the while percussion is crunchy and grooving
Buzzy bass compliments mix - aurally interesting along with pad and sweeps - you have a tight production with the sounds
Love the chordal tone and rhythm - just wonderful!
Rhythm texture is beautiful - wonderful sonic bed and just lays on the ears so nice.
Seemed to meander at this point, like not sure how to make the final summary
Maybe backing down the percussion would let the bass nasty rise and deliver a bit more
Choice of tone colors and how they work nicely with each other is high end.
For it! The push-pull nature of the track really adds a new perspective to other tracks in this genre. A fresh exploration of dynamics not just for the sake of this new approach, but actually trying to manifest a point of communication and conversation based on a unique 'overhearing' of same by the author. Getting past the unusual (read fresh) style of the piece reveals honest technical skill, songwriting, craftsmanship and a soul unafraid of warping the fabric of construction to open a new channel for the listener. Well done!
Keeping the 'bowing' and reverseness going here is clever. Good break.
Just thinking it might be nice to lay off the vocals an d let the track breathe a bit and that is just what you have done. Great choice of pad textures.
The 'bowing' of the vocal samples is really interesting and makes one listen closer for the source. The samples play nicely with the glitch-y percussion.
Just goodness right here!
