ProtocolSix Eamonn Dawe London I started out in music somewhat reluctantly studying classical piano and reading music theory. From there I moved on to playing guitar, and rocking out in a series of bands during my adolescence. A few years ago I purchased an Alesis iO|2 USB interface so I could start jotting down some ideas I’d been having with the guitar. I realised that layering up tracks was great fun and gave me a lot more scope and creative license than I’d previously had strumming a few chords in my bedroom. Essentially, I now had my own band and they did whatever I told them, stayed perfectly in time and never went out of tune. Mega. Sadly my creations lacked rhythm, as recording live drums is a pain in the posterior, so I went online and downloaded a very basic loop machine. Making loops is also fun. Then I found a bass synthesiser and a few digital FX generators. Before I knew it recording a few guitar licks had spiralled into a full on electro project. And that takes me to today, still searching for that unique sound, still trying to craft the perfect beat, still pushing for the grimiest bass, one day……..maybe.....one day. I'm now on Facebook, so please be commenting and liking and all that jazz, Cheers.
