Proteus Harri Andersson Helsinki Proteus, real name Harri Andersson, is one of Finland's most well-known and respected DJs. Proteus concluded his extensive global 27-year-long DJ career with a sold-out nearly 3000 people performance at the Merikaapelihalli, Kaapelitehdas Helsinki in December 2022. He was known for his particularly energetic DJ sets and holds the dubious honor of likely having the world record for the number of broken bones at DJ gigs. He had a successful international career as a DJ / artist and was voted onto the prestigious DJ Mag TOP100 list twice. Additionally, Proteus was voted the world's best harder electronic dance music DJ twice in the Hard Dance Awards held in the UK in 2004 and 2005. In addition to his DJ career, Proteus has been involved in music production for a long time and has been very active as an event organizer. He has organized and co-founded numerous events ranging from underground raves in the 90s to today's Utopia Festival at Kaapelitehdas and Kosmos Festival in Ristiina. He also operated as venue manager at The Circus concert arena in Helsinki for seven years. Currently, Proteus act as the corresponding promoter of electronic dance music at Live Nation Finland. One of his biggest electronic music events was U Nation Open Air event at Kansalaistori in Helsinki summer 2023, featuring Eric Prydz as the headliner.
