Protestpt Pedro Protest Braga Protest is Pedro Silva, a 24 years old music producer and dj, from Trofa (Portugal) who actually lives in Braga (Portugal). His passion about music and production itself was born in 2002, when he and his friends wanted to start a Hip-Hop project just for fun. His function would be the beat construction, since the vocal part wasn’t quite his thing. So, he started to dedicate himself to musical production, seeing it like a new universe which he could explore and use to express himself (a good example is his music “The Coming”, one of his early experimental productions). From Psy-Trance, through Hip-Hop, Dubstep and Drum&Bass, he doesn’t limit himself to explore just one kind of music, having as examples the track “Boring Thoughts” (Psy-Trance), in collaboration with Neurologic and Access and “Step to Dub” (Dubstep). Being self-taught ever since, he strongly believes that when you really want something you will be able to succeed! Putting these ideas in practice he founded the music-promoter called Subsolum, aiming to show his and other “homemade” producers’ artwork to the world. Shortly after, willing to go further, he founded the label WaveBlast with Celso Meireles aka The Idealist, who shares the same ideology.
