James Foster a.k.a. Proof Of Concept
In the year of 1992 within the first twenty four hours of owning a PC James started to cut breaks and layer up loop based tracks. Since then James has spent every spare moment composing and producing early dance music, then moving onto Drum & Bass where he polished up his beat programming.
As time passed his music evolved in to what you hear today. Although his music has changed a great deal, James still considers it a logical progression from his Drum & Bass days, and does continue to produce the odd bit of D&B.
What you hear today is James using keyboards and other production tools in his home studio. James no longer uses loops (well maybe once in a blue moon). He's no sample snob, he just prefers to create his own distinct sound.
2009 has James finally completing his first live set and will be taking it on the road across England and mainland Europe delivering his UniqueProof Of Concept.
@Mr. Squirrel: thank you sir!
@mostlyfodder: Thank, wanted to throw it all in at some point.
@Campadrenalin: thanks!
Love it, excellent work as always.
Love.
@darrenwool: Cheers Darren, got 2 other remix's to do then I am on to yours, very excited for that one. This one was fun, gave me a nice excuse to do things I would not do ian my own material :)
Huge compliment, thanks so much.
I had great fun mashing up these tracks and cross fading between multiple fx channels, glad you appreciate the work.
Thanks so much Fabrizio.
I just love sequencing drums, I do tend to get lost in it and that's how I like it! :D
Glad you liked it :)
Sure, it's hard to sit them in the mix, bit late now as its released but I will put this down to experience.
Nearly finished now, I work slow but I get there in the end, expect it in your email as soon as :)
Like!
@laxmandrivas: Tracks are so up my street, love your work.
@zgomot: It will (if all goes to plan) be the theme tune to a short film that is currently in very early production. I do hope so I would love to see it used against video.
@zgomot: I midi sequence a drum vsti, so its single hits with many velocity layers so i can get a real sounding sound to my sequencing, I need to get comissions of the guys that make it, everyone asks :)
@nobody: Thanks very much!
@darrenwool: Cheers, I always feel a bit weird when i do anything with no drums, glad youl ike it, i may elaborate on it for a release one day we will see.
Thanks for checking it out.
@scalamanderr: Thanks very much for taking the time sir, really apreciate it.
@scalamanderr: Thanks very much, with this body of work its more working out when to stop writing :D
@scalamanderr: hehehe cheers :D
@scalamanderr: yup, everything on this track is midi. Thats pretty much all I do. If you hear it, it is either midi or me playing some virtual synth / sound design.
@scalamanderr: I do love my drums, again this is midi.
@starkaudio: Its all midi, glad youl ike it :)
This is beauty itself, in awe, we can all learn this skills but this is beautiful composition.
It is awesome, and you are getting seriously prolific!
Yup just love it, would be a great to one as a single with some remixs, you ever seen Sugar Bytes Effectrix in action? could take a remix to the next level I think.
Great job sir.
