About

Took on the DJ bit back in High School (crica '85) playing club music and top 40, which back in that day was pretty much your standard 80's catalogue. Played my high school as well as three other local high school's with two other friends, a GEMINI Mixer, a pair of Technics, a Carver Amp and two Panasonic Ramsa speakers.

I came across "House Afire" on K-Tel records sometime in 1989 and I easily fell spell to the sounds and the rythms of Soul 2 Soul, Inner City and trax like Yo Yo Get Funky, Voodo Ray and Notice Me.

Appreciating the diverse sounds of house (always fresh and new) with my adolescent influences of latin, disco and jazz; including heavy metal and classic rock and roll (esp. The Greatful Dead, Iron Maiden & Metallica) I was moving through life with a purpose to move and groove.

I just absorbed sound through countless purchases of CD compilations; my first one being "Journeys by DJ Billy Nasty" on the MOONSHINE label (what a great label). From this purchase on I would consume no other music but Electronic in every genre just to explore the range and loose my mind in bliss.

Holding the producers and the DJ's in such high regard I felt this to be totally out of range for me to ever do; then I moved to Toronto where all that quickly changed. The DJ community up here was so real that I could reach out and touch it. The year is 2005; not knowing a thing about beat matching and arranging I found myself (embarassing moment) buying Vinyl on line at a shop in the UK. It was not until that first batch of vinyl arrived that I would even think about buying equipment.

While I have a tremendous amount of respect for vinyl and its turntable virtuoso's, I had ambitious expectations and I quickly turned in my turntables and went broke investing in a pair of Pioneer CDJ 1000's MK-3 and Pioneer DJM 400 mixer

Four years later I have a website highlighting my proudest compilations www.yummyummgood.com. (currently under re-construction) & active in the DJ community. I teamed up with the crew from BOUNCE (Facebook Bounce) hosting some of the greatest underground house parties, from 2009 - 2011, featuring DJ Sneak, Sonny Fodera, Jason Hodges, Hector Morales, DJ MES & JT Donaldson.

This medium allows me the ability to capture my emotional state of mind. A mind that at times is dark, vibrant and complicated. Blending these sounds in my own way allows me to channel the creative side that sees the mind, space and time as empty canvasas.

An interesting tidbit ... most of my mixes are compiled totally on the fly, meaning ... I will usually go through a massive shopping binge over a 24 or 48 hour period and with little or no organization or arrangement I just dive right in to see what I am able to come up with. Making the entire experience as fresh and authentic as possible. I only choose the ones that come out as close to studio quality as possible to maintain the integrity of the medium but 90% of what I present to you has not even been given it's true due diligence, listening to each track for it's nuances (hence some subtle fluctuations in bass drops and eq blends) and yet somehow I am able to just piece together a story that I feel is worth sharing. HOUSE IS A FEELING and I believe I have it and I sure love that feeling.

Some of my greatest friednships to date have been formed through this love for HOUSE music.

I invite you to check out Mr.Tunes (SoundCloud), Don Sizzle (Facebook/ SooundCloud) DJ Mike Gleeson (www.djmikeglesson.com), Darren Marshall (SoundCloud), Rich Hope (Facebook), Jeff Button (Facebook/DigDeep Itunes Podcasts), Bring the Beats (Sound
