We are very proud to bring you our first release with noted Philadelphia producer Swarvy, who most recently appeared on our Sam Cooke tribute project. The rising beatmaker's solo output continues to evolve in new and intriguing directions. Last year, he dropped one of our favorite instrumental projects in Trillian, completely overhauled Danny Brown's "Blunt After Blunt", and showcased an extremely promising collaborative project with fellow Philly artist Suzi Analogue.

And today, his discography enters a beyond-syrupy realm with milkmade, a mixtape of "poached" remixes of some of his favorite romantically tinged tracks. These include J Dilla's late-night anthem "Crushin'", Kanye West and Rick Ross' epic "Devil in a New Dress", and rap oddball RiFF RAFF's "Can We Chill". That might seem like a strange assortment of cuts, but Swarvy manipulates them all with a similar NyQuil-soaked approach. This allows milkmade to become a truly cohesive work—a point Swarvy wanted to drive home as he spent months fine-tuning this release.
