Popol Vuh is a German 70s progressive Rock Band and is known as a a pioneering Band in Ambient Music. Their records "Affenstunde" (1971) and "in the Garden of Pharao" (1972), played with with the Moog Synthesizer, are claimed to be fundamentally influencing works in Electronica. They composed many Soundtracks, amongst others for Werner Herzog's feature films Aguirre, Heart of Glas, Nosferatu, Fitzcarraldo, Cobra Verde.
We are currently looking for remixes for an original Popol Vuh "Soundtracks, Electronics & Remix Album" focusing on their early electronic works including around 15 originals, ambient/ dub remixes and club tracks. Thanks to great interest, we are in contact with internationally acclaimed remixers now and have collected some excellent mixes (more about this soon). Every remix proposal uploaded to SoundCloud can become a part of this Album. Remixers will get a flatfee and a 50% royalty share for the mix.
