The fractal drum was a simple drum with a feedback (mic, amp, and speakers) which generated this extremely loud and unbearable noise by resonating the skin with the air particles. I could modify the pitch by pushing the skin on the drum while drumming at the same time.
In music I want to achieve a unique sound by using tunes, notes, noises, clicks, crackles recorded live and morphed by me exceptionally attentively, millisecond by millisecond. I try to avoid samples and loops and classic electronic instruments but I like all the chances what digital sounds and methods may offer.
Influences to name a few: Erik Satie, Igor Stravinsky, Edgar Varese, John Cage, Steve Reich, Frank Zappa, Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, David Bowie, Fred Frith, Frank Black, Dead Can Dance, Angelo Badalamenti, Nick Cave, Mike Patton, PJ Harvey, Al Jourgensen, Trent Reznor, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Beck, Jack White, Perry Farrell, Damon Albarn, Kieran Hebden, Jean-Luc Godard, Luis Bunuel, Terry Gilliam, Tim Burton, etc. and movies like Gummo, Donnie Darko, The Holy Mountain.
I am also addicted to and collect soundtracks and traditional music from all around the world.
