DJ, producer and mash-up artist PLASTIC (Andris Ratnieks)
during his musical career since 2003 he has played at such music
events and festivals as Baltic Beach Party 2007, Musique Royale,
Tukuma Town Celebration ’08, Šlokenbeka '08. He was resident DJ for
two magnificent years in one of Jūrmala’s city most popular and
glamorous night clubs Seaside Lounge. He has performed side by side
with such world-known as well as local star DJ as Muzikjunki (NL),
Louis Fortes (NL), Oliver Paris (FIN), The Beatrabauken (DE), Andre
Crash, Electricano, AlDee, Kaspar Kondrat.
He has performed in top rate clubs of Latvia as Essential, Coyote Fly,
Nautilus, Opium Dance, Kefīrs, Traffic, Cats Bar, Jelgavas Tonuss,
Limbažu Tonuss, Multiklubs, BIG7, Pablo, V12 a.o., as well as in clubs
beyond Latvia - The Club (Helsinki, Finland), KY Klubi (Helsinki,
Finland), Revolution (Rotterdam, the Netherlands).
At present he is resident DJ at one of Riga's old-town most popular
nightclubs "Kaļķu vārti". And working on three record labels Sugerfree
Records, Verynicetown Records and Plastic Musique, as well as
organizing series of his conception parties - like VERYNICETOWN
carnivals.
At the end of 2008, Plastic Musique project has been launched with two
very different, yet successful and significant releases – Plastic’s
original production "Just Waiting (feat. Tina)" and "Dr. Ands GONE
WILD - Positive Thoughts". In the middle of 2009, due to 2 years of
SUGERFREE Promotions successful and active work, the idea to launch
Sugerfree Records project is generated, which will take care to bring
Latvia’s nicest, hottest electro house and breakbeat rhythms into
highlight of spotlights. The label has been launched by three
periodically produced digital original work releases by Plastic - "How
To Beat Space Invaders", "More Juice", "Enjoy & Handle With Care".
