Here’s a little about the mutated thumb shaped project.
Plastic Thumbs pull all their influences from reggae, funk and the golden era of hip-hop. The duo have spent the last few years playing festivals and clubs separately, alongside acts such as Scratch Perverts, Dj Nu-mark, DJ Derek, The Nextmen, Mr. Scruff and many more, but have now pulled together with the same focus, colliding the buzz and crackling energy of dancehall with rhyme splattered beats and gut-wrenching low-end bass lines.
Their mixtape “Two Too Many Digits” and "Just A Demo" were put together to showcase their eclectic sound. They have already received great praise from the Chrome Kids, “This is BIG, a filthy mix of big and bashie Filth-step to keep you amused”. White Folks Get Crunked also posted "PT’s blend Ragga, Dirty Electronic Beats and Bass perfectly....We love it.” "Just A Demo” is tight enough to be a full release, serving up some dope tracks" posted Heavy.com
