DJ 1729 is an emerging DJ/Producer based in San Francisco. His love for music spans across various genres such as rock, pop, progressive house. Of lately he has been DJing at bars and nightclubs in San Francisco. His sets mainly consist of progressive house tracks, mixed with some rock and hip hop songs.

Originally from India he did not get a chance during his childhood to learn music and was always buried deep in studies and other personal challenges. He obtained his bachelors in Electrical&Computer Engineering at University of Minnesota, and did his masters at CMU, Pittsburgh. After finishing his masters in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University,Pittsburgh he moved to San Francisco for his first job after college. It was then that he decided to pursue his love for music. Being a computer geek it messing around on Ableton and Traktor S4 came across as fun to him. He has started DJing at bars in San Francisco and is getting a lot of praise in the community. His gigs include venues in San Francisco like Slide, Raven bar, Showdown.

His goal is to produce/play music that allows him to express his feelings, ideas and opinions. For him as a DJ his joy comes from seeing people dance to the music he is playing.

His influences include Daft Punk, Justice,Tiesto, R3hab, Axwell, Avicii, DeadMau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jay Z, Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris,Tupac, Jimi Hendrix, Armin Van Buuren just to name a few.
