Pivotal Movement (Ryan Mitchell) is a homo sapien sapien that has, along with his hu-wo/man peers and counterparts, benefited from years of evolutionary recalculations enabling him to cognitively process and reevaluate sound resulting in orchestrations and productions that borrow from human technological advances while not forgetting the abundance of organic influences available on earth and abroad.

Pivotal Movement's music has been used on NPR's Snap Judgement, featured on BBC's Friction with Bobby Friction and Indonesia's Prambors Radio (courtesy of DJ extraordinaire Adia Prabowo), and featured on the album New York Remixes by Bombay Dub Orchestra which reached the top 20 on iTunes World Music Charts. He also scored an independent film from the University of Michigan that was nominated for and MTV Movie Award and Amalgamate Dance Companies (NYC) "Put Charity On."

He has played live from Florida to New York.

Ryan Mitchell has collaborated with many different artists including echostream, Tony Grund, and Shahida Omar to name a few. Along with his solo project that is showcased here, he produces music with The New Math and Force of Change.

Most all instrumentation is produced, sequenced, and beats excavated by Pivotal Movement unless otherwise noted in the song description (such as is the case with remixes). All tracks are subject to evolution until their official release. I'm open to constructive critique and have made most everything, in it's current state, free to download.
