About

Greetings! I'm Pi Makarov from Washington DC, USA. I just finished my song-a-day for a year challenge. It was a long and tiring journey for me but I was happy to catalogue my work here on SoundCloud and I hope you'll take the time to give it a listen. As for what's next, I don't think I'll be doing a song-a-day challenge any time soon but I do have some plans:
1. Take a nap.
2. Get user feedback on the year's work to narrow down a list of songs to a top 40.

Stay tuned for more details and more music...

Thank you Soundcloud. You guys have an incredible community and I'm so grateful for your very existence, not to mention your support and feedback as I trudged on. I very much want to payback the favor and get involved with more of the talented artists that grace the cloud. Thanks again!

Song-A-Day:
Status: SUCCESS!
Write, record, and publish one song a day for a year.
Tools: Iphone 4s equipped with GarageBand app, and a guitar or two.

Rules:

I must upload 1 song a day by 11:59pm EST the day of (starting 5/1/2012).
The song will be approximately 90 seconds- what more do you need? The song may, in fact, be much longer, but it is more important to keep it short not only because of dwindling attention spans but because of what I have to pay to host the growing collection for the year.
I will supply lyrics even if you don’t hear them all because of rule #2.
The song must be an original.
Anything goes- from kids music to gangsta rap, grunge to euro pop, the game is on…
