Phoneme is one of the well known DJs in his country. After hosting a weekly radio show on BreaksFM (currently offline) he keeps delivering heavy sounds, from breakbeat to dubstep, and all related styles. As a listener of electronic music since 1995, he started with hardcore techno, through oldskool breakbeat and jungle, stopping at the fresh sound of nuskool-breakbeat in the late 90s. He started DJ-ing, and to organize parties in 2003, getting more and more gigs, playing at the most important festivals and parties in Romania, having also gigs in Italy and Bulgaria. His mixes have been aired on radio stations such as: iBreaks, PlayFM, A-Plus, or Digitally-Imported. Starting 2008, he was part of the Scarcity-Records, the new label started by Mesmer. In 2010, DJ Phoneme has decided to create his own label called Hibrid Records.
