Will Ferrell was so impressed after a Saturday night session at Marquee, he gave a big shout out to Shalvoy's alter ego 'DJ Porkchop' during his TRL award acception speech. Bobby Flay uses Peter Shalvoy exclusively to DJ all his important events, none more special then his wedding to actress Stephanie March. Peter recently appeared on the "meet the DJ" segment of Good Day New York to the praise of its hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto.
The large catalogue of music that resides in his head and at his fingertips has allowed him to become a sought after "sound stylist," providing the soundtrack for many high end clients, lounges and restaurants, most notably the Blue Ribbon restaurants, where he has garnered such fans as Diddy, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Mos Def, DJ Clue and even former President Bill Clinton!
This Cornell University graduate began his career over 15 years ago playing legendary clubs like Nell's, Mars and Lucky Strike. He has toured the U.S. with The Soupdragons, Tom Tom Club, and Black Sheep, and continues to wreck dance floors in Miami, Atlanta, the Hamptons and now, Las Vegas. He also created the vibe for Cain at the Cove, Atlantis Resort, Bahamas as was it's original resident DJ. He has now brought his skills and knowledge to the bright lights of Las Vegas where his unique sound and style has been embraced by the DJ/Nightclub set.
He has currently turned his focus to producing original music and creating remixes and looks to be a major force in the dance scene for years to come.
His story continues and the music plays on............
