Calling all street poets, songwriters, vocal divas and virtuosos: Peace Mix needs you! Our mission: to spread a message of harmony using the most powerful universal language – music!
This summer, the Peace Mix Mic Relay tour will journey across the entire UK to uncover the best Big Lottery Fund (BIG) and other publicly funded music studios available to young people – positive spaces where you can create and record your own tunes.
At each studio, Peace Mix will find the finest new music talent – by giving local acts the chance to record their own peace song and show off live to our VIP audience. One winner from each local studio will then play our regional Peace Mix Play Off final at Cornwall’s Eden Project on 16 August – where bands, soloists and MCs will tussle to win a spot supporting our special guest headliner at the Peace Mix Presents finale, held at London’s Roundhouse on August 28.
We also want your musical musings on peace! From your bedroom, school or a professional space, we need you to create lyrics, rhymes, remixes or melodies to join our groundbreaking, crowd-sourced collaboration track – find out more and enter on our competition page. The best will be used to create a one of a kind song to be performed at our Roundhouse finale event.
