Poetique Electronique began life as a duo made up of Ben Auris and Moritz Gaudlitz. Ben, a solo artist, has been writing, producing and performing for more than a couple of years, while Moritz is known for being part of the coalition DIE ELECTROPHILEN and for his work as a house and techno music producer.
After meeting in Vienna, the pair started mixing their distinct musical styles as an experiment. The boundaries quickly became blurred, the two of them bringing in and fusing their own musical influences – resulting in warm, deep synthsounds and perscussive drum beats, combined with reverberating guitar tunes, finished with Ben’s rough, somewhat haunting voice.
Their musical project survived Ben’s move to Paris and in summer 2012 they released their first EP ‘The Paris Session’. Gathering momentum, they then started playing live shows in Vienna, Berlin and Munich.
In the beginning of 2013 Poétique Électronique reevaluated their position both musically and geographically. They are now based in Berlin, have recruited two new band members and have recorded their second EP ‘Imperfection of the human being’ which is scheduled to be released in Spring/Summer 2013.
