"Pawn & EMU of SMOG proudly present The FreEP, a collection of six unreleased original tunes and remixes remastered for system-pounding action by the one and only Patrick Mundy (@mundysound).

The EP starts off with Crunchtime, a dark atmospheric stomper with familiar old-school rave samples that rolls you through the mud and sends chills down your spine. Next is Threadz, a floor smasher inspired by messageboard drama with aggressive dueling bassline synths, upbeat drums, and spacey synths while calling out all those bedroom haters, trolls and wannabes with nothing better to do than talk trash on people that are successful at doin' what they love. Crunkno, for lack of a better name, describes the track pretty well, a hybrid Crunk/Techno/Dubstep bit guaranteed to get the crowd hyphy with bangin' 808 kicks, some classic reese stabs, droning synths and a lil' WHAT-WHAT! Next come the remixes and first up is Pawn and EMU's take on SMOG 001′s Smokescreen by the one and only 12th Planet, followed by EMU's remix of young buck Yong's tune Infinite and Pawn's tribute to Johnny L, a remix of the classic DnB tune Hurt You So.

All in all a solid offering from this California based duo, and for a price that can't be beat!"
